Yes! We are accepting new patients ages 18 and up for Nutrition Services.

• Common examples of medical conditions addressed with Nutrition Services include Overweight/Obesity, Diabetes, Prediabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), Metabolic-Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD), Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS), Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Celiac Disease, and Osteoporosis.

• Nutrition Services can also play an important role in treating perimenopause and menopause, GLP-1 management, athletic performance, as well as vegan and vegetarian dietary patterns.

• Individuals are also welcome to schedule a Nutrition Services appointment for general health and wellness preventive care.

• The comprehensive 1-hour Intake Appointment costs $150. Your Registered Dietitian learns your health history, your lifestyle, your priorities, and the barriers you face to meeting your goals.

• A 30-minute Follow-Up Appointment costs $75. Your Registered Dietitian assesses your progress, answers questions, troubleshoots barriers, and recommends adjustments to your treatment plan. Remember the last time you Googled your nutrition questions? You probably saw nonspecific and conflicting answers. This Follow-Up Appointment provides real, evidence-based answers tailored to your life and your values.

Each treatment plan is unique, but most people should expect to schedule at least 3 appointments to achieve sustained nutrition and energy changes.

• The fine print: Nutrition Services at Grand Primary Care are not billed through insurance. Our Nutrition practice is out-of-network with insurance companies. However, many plans will allow patients to pay for Nutrition Services using FSA/HSA funds or to submit a superbill for reimbursement after the appointment. Be prepared to pay in full for Nutrition Services at the time of service. Superbills can be made available upon request.

• Please call your insurance company to find out if your HSA or FSA can be used to pay for visits with an out of network Registered Dietitian, and ask if a referral or a letter of medical necessity are required. Nutrition Services can be especially impactful for individuals with dietary restrictions. Medical Nutrition Therapy with a Registered Dietitian involves implementing dietary changes specific to an underlying medical condition, so your dietary needs and preferences can be accommodated.

All Nutrition Services appointments are conducted virtually through a HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform.

We ask for any cancellations or reschedules to be done at least 24 hours before your appointment time. If you cancel <24 hours before your appointment time you will be charged 50% of the appointment fee.
